Introduction After the required readings for this assignment and through my own research I have decided to produce a movie that will promote the athletic department of Eastside High School. As the Associate Athletic Director it is my job to build positive relationships between our coaches, players, parents, and community members. Each of these groups have a vested interest in our ability as a department to provide a quality high school experience that will help each student-athlete benefit in a positive manner and succeed beyond the playing field. What better way to showcase our past and present accomplishments than through a digital story.
Of my three topics, I felt as if this video choice would be the one that I could showcase for many years to come. It sparked my interest as well as the others that I have employed to help me with the project. The broadcast video class at Eastside has graciously volunteered to work with me to create a video that can be used to recruit future talent for our school. I will write the storyboard and direct the project, but these students will help me edit and incorporate sound and other aspects to create a quality piece of work.
Conclusion Digital storytelling should be informative, but there is no reason that it cannot be interesting as well. The topic I chose meets both of these criteria and hopefully will create excitement in my viewing audience. I wanted to do something that would relate to what I do away from my classroom. With the right amount of planning and execution I hope to create a movie that will showcase the many accomplishments of Eastside Athletics. Timeline for Production

Begin the writing of the storyboard and brainstorming topic.

Begin shooting interviews with coaches, ex-players and administrators.

Shoot introduction (Interview of me) Incorporate statistics of achievements by each program with the use of PowerPoint

Finish production of all parts of the video
