Part II: Introduction
o “Hi, I’m Coach Hurst, Head Football Coach and Associate AD here at Eastside High School in Covington, Ga. Since this school opened in 1994 a tradition of excellence has been established both in academics and athletics. In the last 5 years, our sports programs have experienced an unprecedented amount of success. From Region and State Championships to individual champions we have established ourselves as one of the most consistent AAAA programs in Georgia. Take a look for yourself.” (27-30 seconds)

o “The term student athlete implies that the person involved with education and athletics is both a good student in the classroom and an active and effective participant on an athletic team. Studies have shown that athletes perform better than non-athletes in: Overall GPA, Standardized tests, and have lower absenteeism and discipline issues.” (25-30 seconds)
